Cookie Policy

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not load any third-party trackers. The only things we store in your browser are what the service needs to sign you in, keep your account secure and remember the choices you make while using it. Because all of it is strictly necessary, we do not show a cookie banner or ask for your consent.

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Websites can also keep information in your browser in other ways, such as local storage and session storage. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) treat all of these the same way: a site needs your consent unless the storage is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.

My Asset Safe does not set cookies of its own. We use your browser's local storage and session storage for:

• Signing in and staying secure: the sign-in tokens that keep you signed in, a record of a device you have chosen to remember, and the information we use to sign you out on every open tab when you sign out on one.
• Using your vault: short-lived information, cleared when you close the tab, that lets your vault open after you sign in.
• Remembering your choices: things you set yourself, for example whether money amounts are hidden on screen, the style you picked for a letter, where you got to in a guided set-up, and whether you have already seen a notice so we do not show it again.

None of this is used to track you across other websites, to build a profile of you or for advertising, and none of it is shared with anyone else.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, social media plugins or third-party marketing trackers. If we ever want to add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before it is used.

You can clear this information at any time by clearing your browser's site data for My Asset Safe. Doing so signs you out, and you will need to sign in again (and, if you had chosen to remember your device, complete the extra sign-in step again).
